LightingHigh-flux, high-power white LEDs produce a minimum of 100 lumens per watt, and 70% of initial intensity at 50,000 hours of life. LEDs have a correlated color temperature of 5500 K and a CRI of 72. LEDs are 100% mercury- and lead-free.
Solar lighting is a direct replacement for traditional HID cobra-head-style fixtures. Fixtures are photometrically tested in accordance with IESNA LM-79.PowerIdeal for new installations or retrofits, the Wanco Luminaire eliminates power consumption from the commercial power grid.
A 12- or 24-volt battery system is charged using a solar panel, which is installed on an adjustable mounting bracket for optimum solar positioning. The charging system engages automatically when needed. A solar controller monitors the batteries, voltage and current, and a low-voltage-disconnect circuit cuts power automatically when necessary, preventing damage to batteries. A wind turbine is optional for hybrid solar-wind power in areas with suitable wind conditions.
User-selected functionsWanco’s “smart controller” allows the user to choose from a number of operating modes, including dusk-to-dawn, timed, and high-to-low brightness settings. The Luminaire switches on automatically at dusk with photocell-controlled activation. Motion-based activation and a 365-day multi-event timer are optional. Custom programming is also available.
SystemThe Wanco Luminaire is a complete system. It includes the luminaire head unit, solar panel, pole, base, batteries, brackets and wiring.
Wanco technicians analyze each application and design the system based on light and power requirements for the location. Lamp selection, pole height, and power system are all based on your specifications and requirements.Financing
