Founded in 1984 in a suburb of Denver, Colorado, Wanco was created with a vision of helping to improve roadway and construction safety through the development of superior portable safety products. Over the next four decades, as Wanco consistently focused on delivering outstanding value to its customers, it grew to become one of the largest manufacturers of trailered traffic safety solutions in North America.
Wanco’s rise to leadership in the traffic safety industry started with the introduction of its power-efficient arrow boards in the 1980s. Subsequent product introductions carried the same commitment to thoughtful design, manufacturing excellence, and customer satisfaction. Since that time, Wanco’s product offerings have expanded to include portable changeable message signs, radar speed trailers, light towers, surveillance trailers, generators, temporary runway closure devices, and much more.
Throughout its long history, Wanco has remained a family owned and operated business, providing portable safety solutions to both the public and private sectors with a dealer network that now spans the world. With over 300 full-time employees, Wanco has also been one of the top employers in the Arvada community for many years.
